Frequently Asked Questions

Lash Extensions

I don’t know what lash set I want - can I change my mind on the day?

Yes of course - we have a full consultation prior to your treatment discussing your styling and preferences

Do I require a patch test for lash extensions?

We do not require a patch test for our lash extensions due to our adhesive guidelines being compliant with our insurance requirements. However you can opt to have one or if you have any medical conditions which may affect the treatment you can arrange for free by contacting us 48 hours prior to your appointment booking. We recommend a patch test for all pregnant clients. We provide full consultation prior to any treatments.

How will I look after my lashes?

You will need to wash your lash extensions daily using an approved lash cleanser. We do retail lash shampoo kits for £5 which can be purchased at your appointment, we have additional add ons available such as fan to buy for your kit. Refills are also available for any kits purchased previously for £2.50. Our lash kit normally lasts approximately 2 months based on one cleanse per day.

How long do lash extensions last?

We recommend 2.5 weeks before lashes require an infill.

What is an infill?

An infill is a removal of any outgrown lashes and replacement with fresh extensions and in addition replacement of those that may have shedded. Infills are recommended every 2.5 weeks due to natural lash growth. If less than 50% of your lash set is remaining on an infill appointment we will need to charge for a full set. If you are unsure please send us a message and we can consult.

Do extensions damage my natural lashes?

When correctly isolated and applied lash extensions do not damage your natural lashes. You will also need to follow with aftercare to ensure the health of your natural lashes. If you choose not to continue with extensions and have an infill appointment it is recommended that you book a removal to safely remove the extensions.

What happens if my lashes fall out?

If you lashes fall rapidly up to 72 hours after your appointment you can contact us and we will schedule a free top up. Please note this needs to be within 5 days of your original appointment and will only be free if we can see that it is not a result of poor aftercare

Can I put mascara on my extensions?

Lash extensions need to be free of any dirt, oils, mascara, sweat etc. You cannot put mascara on your lash extensions as it will cause your lashes to stick together. This can create what we call “stickies”. Stickies can cause lash damage as if an adult lash bonds to a small lash and sheds it can potentially pull the baby lash out of the hair follicle prematurely. Doing this over time can cause damage to your natural lashes. Ensure you are cleaning your lashes throughly everyday.

Facials

I’m not sure what facial will work best for me - how do I know which one to book?

You can book in a skincare consultation with us for free before making any bookings so you know the right treatment plan for you

How often do I need to wait in between facials?

We suggest one month in between facials but the frequency is best determined during your consultation

Brow Lamination & Lash Lifting

Why is a patch test required for brow lamination and lash lifting?

These treatments are both chemical treatments which can involve direct with the skin therefore reactions can be quite severe. We patch test by applying solutions to the forearm 24-48 hours before treatment.

How long does Lash Lifting or Brow Lamination last?

Both treatments last 6-8 weeks. We recommend booking your new lash lift around 9-10 weeks after your first appointment. You can book maintenance treatments to re-tint and re-wax (in the case of brow lamination) and along with a botox treatment to help nourish the hairs.
